For today’s post we head back to San Francisco as photographer its_kavi_doe takes us for another look around this amazing city.
Art, culture, and diversity are words immediately associated with San Francisco, and for good reason. The City by the Bay blends classic Victorian architecture with the fast paced high tech world of today. Walking from Alamo Square down to Market Street, bursts of color will accompany you as you pass homes constructed from the 1800s. At the same time you could easily order a meal from your favorite restaurant and have it delivered to you via robot.
If the heart of San Francisco is its diverse and vibrant population, then the Mission District is certainly its heartbeat. It is here you will find not only some of the friendliest people with the biggest smiles but also the best Latin cuisine in the United States. The smell of Pupusas and Pan Dulce will serenade you as you pass by palm trees and locally sourced markets. A few blocks down the aroma of authentic Filipino food will greet you with a warm sense of home.
San Francisco has always been special to me because of the strong feeling of community. One can easily view the passion within the city from exploring the countless and priceless works of art displayed all through out. From Clarion Alley to Haight and Ashbury, you will see love as well as struggle being illustrated by artists who have lived through the numerous changes in the Bay Area. San Francisco has always been open to all, and its colorful landscape and bright lights will welcome all travelers with open arms.
What is your favourite place to have a cup of tea? #teawithaview
One of my favorite places to watch the sunrise and hear song birds is Ina Coolbrith Park. There’s no place as calm and relaxing to share a cup of tea with a friend than here.
