Brisbane Australia II

Today jarred.reinke returns to take us for another look around his home city of Brisbane Australia II

Whilst it may not be as showy as Sydney, or as hip as Melbourne, Brisbane is growing, increasingly evolving into a must-see destination for travellers.

As a local, having grown up in Brisbane, I know, life in Brisbane, like most global cities is centred around the water, and often the outdoors, owning to the city’s humid subtropical climate. Whether its enjoying a meal at Jellyfish, a cocktail or two at Blackbird, a swim at Southbank, a leisurely cycle in New Farm or a late afternoon barbeque under the Kangaroo Cliffs, one is not limited in their choice as to how they choose to enjoy the great outdoors in sun-soaked Brisbane.

Though, it is arguably when the sun sets when Brisbane truly comes alive. West End is the place you come to feed your hunger for good music, good food and of course good cocktails. Like West End, Fortitude Valley at night is always a hive of activity, an entertainment district full of chic bars and clubs.

What is your favourite place to have a cup of tea?

My personal favourite spot to enjoy a cup of tea in Brisbane would have to be atop the Kangaroo Cliffs, which offers a perfect vantage point in which to admire Brisbane’s ever-changing and ever-growing skyline.
