“All you’ve got to do is decide to go and the hardest part is over.”
The Algarve is one of Britain’s most popular tourist getaways – famous for the many beautiful coastlines and challenging golf courses. This is why many people are proud to call the Algarve their home.
The Algarve in southern Portugal is divided up into three regions: the Eastern Algarve, Central Algarve, and the Western Algarve. Each region is very different from the other and individually each has very unique parts to explore.
The Eastern algarve hosts the capital and largest city – Faro. Many people land in the airport nearby Faro and never make the journey to take in the local culture and see the vibrant city come to life, but this is a place that you should put on your agenda to experience a different side to the Algarve.
Central Algarve is the most popular destination for tourism, with many hotels and resorts situated in Central Algarve. As a base it gives you a opportunity to explore the Algarve in very short travel times and is also a great place to just relax and take in the sun with the many beaches and beautiful coastlines that are situated here.
The Western Algarve is a nature lovers paradise, with its many beautiful views, surfing and hiking trails, you will often find a lot of outdoor lovers here. The popular town of Lagos provides lots of shops and restaurants if you want to unwind after a busy day.

The Vale de Milho village – part of the amazing Carvoeiro Clube group boasts 32 townhouses, all equipped with private swimming pools, relaxing garden areas and a beautiful ocean backdrop view, located next to one of the most popular golf courses of central Algarve.
We had the pleasure of being able to stay in one of the modern two bedroom townhouses, with high ceilings and high quality living, this place really screams luxury. The village has its own resort management with everything from security, accounting, technical services, pool and garden maintenance and all residents have access to the health and fitness tennis club with a great varied programme, from relaxing yoga, to a full workout gym.
The townhouses are available for rental and are also currently for sale, with prices starting from 400,000 Euros. This is the perfect getaway for warm weather lovers with temperature highs of 21 °C during the winter months. We stayed early December and during the day sat out on the terrace in a t-shirt and soaked up the sun.
