Pink Marble Baked Doughnuts

We have created these pink marble baked doughnuts using our very own cotton candy beetroot latte powder and trust us when we say this is a winner.

INGREDIENTS:

For the doughnuts:

  • 120g all-purpose flour
  • 70g granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 28g unsalted butter melted
  • 1 egg
  • 100ml milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the glaze:

80g powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon of Tea and the gang – The Fairy Cotton Candy latte powder

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 175oC
  2. Spray a doughnut pan with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl mix all the dry ingredients. In a separate bowl whisk the egg, milk, butter and vanilla extract.
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir together until no flour bits remain and all the ingredients are well combined. Try not to over-mix the batter.
  5. Spoon the batter into the doughnut cavities, or use a large ziplock bag. Cut a corner off the bottom of the bag and pipe the batter into each doughnut cavity, filling 3/4 of the way full.
  6. Remove from the oven and transfer the doughnuts onto a wire rack to cool completely. While the doughnuts cool, make the glaze.
  7. Making the glaze: in a small bowl add all the ingredients except the Tea and the gang powdered latte and mix until no lumps remain. In a small cup dd the powder latte along with 1 tsp water, mix well and dot the mixture all over the glaze. Using a skewer swirl around.
  8. Dip the doughnuts in the glaze and then transfer onto a cooling rack.
  9. Enjoy!
