We have created these pink marble baked doughnuts using our very own cotton candy beetroot latte powder and trust us when we say this is a winner.
INGREDIENTS:
For the doughnuts:
- 120g all-purpose flour
- 70g granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 28g unsalted butter melted
- 1 egg
- 100ml milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the glaze:
80g powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon of Tea and the gang – The Fairy Cotton Candy latte powder
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat the oven to 175oC
- Spray a doughnut pan with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
- In a large bowl mix all the dry ingredients. In a separate bowl whisk the egg, milk, butter and vanilla extract.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir together until no flour bits remain and all the ingredients are well combined. Try not to over-mix the batter.
- Spoon the batter into the doughnut cavities, or use a large ziplock bag. Cut a corner off the bottom of the bag and pipe the batter into each doughnut cavity, filling 3/4 of the way full.
- Remove from the oven and transfer the doughnuts onto a wire rack to cool completely. While the doughnuts cool, make the glaze.
- Making the glaze: in a small bowl add all the ingredients except the Tea and the gang powdered latte and mix until no lumps remain. In a small cup dd the powder latte along with 1 tsp water, mix well and dot the mixture all over the glaze. Using a skewer swirl around.
- Dip the doughnuts in the glaze and then transfer onto a cooling rack.
- Enjoy!
